The Lifecycle
Performance Roadmap illustrates how performance management relates to various
major management support functions within your organization.
The Lifecycle Performance Roadmap contains 90 processes sectioned into 3 performance areas consisting of 10 management functions and spanning across the 5 performance lifecycle phases.
The processes provide a high level approach to managing performance across your various management functions and helps ensure that your people, processes and technology are working together to achieve your organization’s missions and goals. The roadmap shows how performance management adds value to and is directly represented in each of these major management functions and aligns them to the Lifecycle Performance Framework phases.
Employee Management Functions
Employee Performance Management is the systematic process by which an organization involves its employees, as individuals and members of a group, in improving organizational effectiveness in the accomplishment of agency mission and goals. The Employee Performance Management process includes work and setting expectations, continually monitoring performance, developing the capacity to perform, periodically rating performance in a summary fashion, and rewarding good performance. Key management functions that have a great impact on employee performance management include HR management, workforce performance management, and customer satisfaction.
Organizational Management Functions
We're used to associating performance management for employees however, performance management applies to organizations, too, and is the premise of Lifecycle Performance Management.
